Are You Kidding Me?!?

About a month ago (September 24th) Jeremy and I woke up to a flooded house! Notice the reflection on the water...

A pipe in the wall broke!!!  My office/food storage/editing/craft room was completely ruined! The computers (2) were ruined, photos that were hanging on the wall for display have been warped this little spot (and I have no idea how) was the only dry spot!  Heidi's room next door was flood, Tess' room...everything!

It was crazy.  We woke up to a wet floor and heard water rushing.  After following the sound of the water, we went into the garage and turned off the hot water heater water supply valve.  We had no idea what to do.

So, we called our friend, Rhett Udall (he's a plumber) and he found the problem right away.

Rhett fixed the problem, and we called Titan Renovation.  Tom, Andy and the team came over and quickly started "drying out" our home.

De-humidifiers galore...

Twenty 7 fans!

Holes!!!

It was so hot, this was the temp @ 7 a.m. the day after they had the equipment up and running Twenty-four/7! Thank goodness Shaylyn and Adam live a mile away and we were able to stay two nights wit them.  At this time, our home is still waiting to be repaired.  Carpets, grout, baseboards, a wall or two, new paint...we are going to have a new house by the time it is completed!  Our house is only 3 years old to begin with...It is inconvenient and has been a huge hassel.  My entire photography business is packed up and in storage.  Our food storage is packed up and in storage...even my scissors and pencils, even a small writing tablet-packed up and in storage.  But we remain thankful that our experience wasn't worse.  We are truly blessed!  (Especially now that we have a computer to borrow and it isn't in storage!  Thanks to my brother in laws!)
